Consult with your manual or manufacturer to know which one is the correct kind of motor oil you should be using with your mower and always be sure to buy that one to prevent your engine from damaging.

Clean your mower deck regularly.

Be sure to clean and shower your mower deck after every use or at least once a week. You should remove the dirt and grass that accumulate on the deck with a hose. You should use some light soap to not damage the painting.
